Custom Curtains

I couldn't find any curtains I loved for the baby's room. I wanted something navy and graphic. West Elm had some nice gray ones, but they were over $100 per window.
I purchased 2 gray twin sized flat sheets from Wal-Mart for $5 each. I used 2" masking tape to create the same pattern of the metal on the bookshelf. I spray painted the sheets, let dry & removed the tape. Mom cut the sheets down the center, hemmed them and sewed a place for the curtain rod. They are the same length as a standard curtain panel, but about 10" more narrow than standard. I love the big pattern and they only cost about $10 per window with tape and paint.
